Stična Monastery– this monastery has been in operation since 1132. Inside there is a museum and a small shop with the renowned herbs of Pater Ašič.
Spring and Valley of the Krka River – Krka is famed as the only Slovene river with tufa formations as it forms characteristic extensive underwater thresholds in the low- and mid-section and tufa barriers in the upper section of its stream, at which mills and sawmills were usually built.
Dvor – iron foundry where in the previous century an acknowledged ironworks was in operation.
Soteska Castle – it was burned down during the war; the surroundings used to be decorated by a renaissance park with a garden pavilion that still stands.
Dolenjske Toplice spa – it prides itself on a rich history as it is one of the oldest spas in the Europe.
Kočevski rog – forested plateau; possible visit of Baza 20 – cultural and historical monument from the 2^nd World War that was the seat of the Slovene leadership of partisan movement
