Kranjska gora – this winter resort lies in Zgornjesavska Dolina – one of the most beautiful Alpine valleys; it is most known of the annual Worldcup Ski Championships and it offers a variety of recreational possibilities – trekking, cycling, fishing, rafting, wellness and in winter time skiing;
Planica – well known of the annual World Cup Ski Jumps Championships, the largest ramp in the world, on which the world record in ski flying was set (239 m)
Vrsic – the highest Slovene road pass (1611 m), which can be reached by a panoramic path full of curves constructed during the 1st World War – if one is paying enough attention on the way up, one can notice beautiful forms engraved into the rocks and a natural window in the mountain walls of Prisank
Russian Chapel under Vrsic – monument constructed in the 1st World War by Russian war prisoners in memory of all the victims that died under a giant snow-slide burying their prisoner camp and taking over 300 lives, while they were building the road over the mountain pass
